Conversion of Engineering to manufacturing BoMs in PLM7
The solution Guided Structure Synchronization (GSS) of the SAP PLM 7-solution allows you to convert engineering BOMs (EBOM) into plant specific manufacturing BOMs (MBOM). The engineering BoM is the basis of the Product Structure Management or a classical material BoM. The target structure is always a classic BoM. This is the main difference to the CaRD BoM handover. CaRD supports the SAP GSS and also implements customer specific solutions.
GSS supports the first time conversion and the conversion of changes. Tasks can be automated and only relevant changes will be proposed for conversion.
