Transformation between different product structures
More and more CaRD customers are using more than one product structure or bill of material in their system. The maintenance of these duplicates costs a lot of effort, time and ends in additional costs. Furthermore it is difficult to ensure the data consistency between the different structures and systems. Many CaRD customers are using different BoMs for engineering and manufacturing.
To be able to copy the product structures when assemblies are overlapping is on of the requirement for modern PLM solutions and projects. This can only be done by a consistent way when the references between source and target structures are maintained in background. Then it is also possible to print out intelligent spreadsheets which are the basis for modern controlling purposes.
