The linkage of EASY ARCHIVE takes place using the basic interface SAP ArchiveLink contained in SAP R/3. EASY-LINK for SAP R/3 Level 1 uses this interface's technical opportunities to the full. Print lists, incoming and outgoing records as well as archive data can be optically archived. In this way the SAP user profits from the extensive functionality of the professional archiving software EASY ARCHIVE.
SAP standard records from the most various modules are archived without problems. EASY LINK for SAP R/3 Level 1 supports a common SAP formats such as print lists (ALF), outgoing records (OTF), archive data (REO) and incoming records (FAX). Furthermore records of many user defined formats, e.g. Microsoft Word, can be archived out of SAP R/3.
EASY LINK for SAP R/3 Level 1 also automatically archives the most diverse outgoing records (your own delivery notes and invoices etc.). When a record is sent, e.g. by fax or EDI, it can be optically archived directly via the message control in SAP R/3. A copy for your own files is therefore no longer necessary. At the same time the optically archived records are available to all connected workstations and can be re-displayed as facsimiles via the SAP-GUI and the relevant viewer. Any type of print list from the SAP R/3 system can also be optically archived. Balance sheets, accounts, ledgers or screen lists are only examples here. The print lists archived from SAP R/3 are available to users via a transaction in SAP R/3. The list attributes (e.g. account or customer number) are assigned in SAP R/3. The SAP Archive-Link viewer supports, during print list display, searching for the relevant hit position within the list. When a retrieval from SAP R/3 is not necessary the print list can be archived, when desired, with EASY-COLD and searched for at any time with the aid of the full-text retrieval.
When the acquisition takes place with original records which are to be scanned EASY LINK for SAP R/3 Level 1 supports all possible SAP scenarios early, simultaneous and later acquisition.
of archive files is also supported by EASY LINK for SAP R/3 Level 1. Here the archive file is handed over to EASY ARCHIVE from SAP and archived there. When the archive file is accessed SAP R/3 automatically accesses the archive file contained in EASY ARCHIVE and reads out the required information. Saving the archive files in the SAP R/3 file system or relocation, e.g. on streamer, is therefore no longer necessary. Further document types can be created within SAP R/3. For example, Microsoft Office documents can be administered in SAP and, naturally, optically archived in EASY ARCHIVE via SAP ArchiveLink.
EASY ARCHIVE's high performance is available to all workstations. Each user can, with the relevant authorization, create and take care of her or his own archives outside of SAP R/3. Such storage can take place efficiently and comfortably in EASY ARCHIVE. Your own correspondence, e.g. created with MS-WORD, can be archived from the workstation with no problem.
SAP tests complementary software within an extensive test program under the same criteria. EASY-Link for SAP R/3 has undergone this certification and has been certified by SAP for all options. With that the user has a high amount of security even for future releases of SAP R/3.
