EASY SOFTWARE is one of the leading European developers and providers of computer-aided archiving and document-management systems.

The company is active in a growing market which is receiving more hits from Internet and Intranet communications. EASY was founded in 1990 in Düsseldorf as EASY Elektronische Archivsysteme GmbH and since 1991 has its headquarters in Mülheim an der Ruhr's town center. There are branch offices in Berlin and Andernach. The company's American base is EASY SOFTWARE Inc. in Philadelphia.

MARKET LEADERSHIP CONFIRMED BY CERTIFICATE

More than 400 authorized distributors and partners have committed to contractual co-operation with EASY SOFTWARE AG. EASY Software offers ready-made solutions in ten languages and relevant services in 28 countries. 4000 customers use EASY solutions in predominately medium and large-sized companies*. In addition, there are approximately 6000 users of the "EASY ARCHIVE 2000" package in the SOHO (Small Office / Home Office) market. With this number of installations, EASY SOFTWARE AG is counted among the market leaders in Europe for fulltext based archiving system solutions. The EASY clientele includes users such as BMW, BP Oil Europe, Daimler Benz, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, Thyssen, Mannesmann, Nestle, the Handelsblatt publishing group, and ZDF-Zweite Deutsche Fernsehen.

STRONG PARTNERSHIPS AS COMPANY STRATEGY

More than 70 renowned software houses have created a standard link to EASY ARCHIVE for their programs. These OEM solutions are obtainable under trade names such as Baan-Archiv, COMET-Archiv, Navision-Archiv, Plaut Kompakt Archiv für SAP R/3, Sage-KHK-Archiv or VARIAL-Archiv. An outstanding example of strategic partnerships with the SAP software house which has certified the EASY link to their standard software. With more than 170 SAP R/3 users in Europe, EASY has moved to second place world-wide among the providers of SAP archiving solutions within a short time. EASY has also formed a software partnership with Microsoft. Both companies signed an extensive co-operative contract in September 1998, in which EASY will closely co-operate with Microsoft as an "Independent Software Vendor (ISV)". This agreement for document management solutions with medium and large-sized customers extends beyond the previous EASY partnership as a certified Microsoft "Solution Provider". In co-operation with Konica Business Machines Europe beginning in June 1999, EASY SOFTWARE increased its presence in Europe and clearly raised the number of its sales partners.

IMPROVING AND SPEEDING UP OFFICE PROCEDURES WITH EASY SOFTWARE

From the very beginning, it has been EASY's goal to develop simple-to-use software applications. This resulted in four products which are as simple to use with their electronic files and folders as word processors or e-mail. The interplay of these products under a common user interface is what we call "DocuManagement". Typical routine office work, such as incoming mail and the distribution, editing, archiving and searching of documents can be done faster, more flexibly, and efficiently with EASY software:

EASY CAPTURE enables the professional acquisition and allocation of all incoming documents. Among other things, it controls the operation of high-end scanners, the recognition of text or handwriting (OCR / ICR) and the fully automatic indexing with Barcode.

EASY DMS offers the many advantages of document control without having to adapt the software or business processes through costly EDP projects. The documents can be forwarded and edited individually within the company and can also be accessed at any time.

EASY ARCHIVE guarantees revision-proof archiving of documents and full text search of their contents in a flash.

EASY WEB allows the fast full text search and retrieval through the Internet or Intranet.
